CWA mourns wrestler’s demise

Kohima, November 26 (MExN): The Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) on Thursday expressed sadness at the demise of its member and former wrestler Vedu-o Khusoh, who breathed his last on November 25 at Bethel Hospital, Kohima.

According to a condolence note jointly appended by CWA President Vekhozo and General Secretary Kuzhovesa Soho, late Vedu-o Khusoh was an outstanding wrestler and has represented CWA in Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) tournaments in the past in 1972, 1973 and 1978.

“…he officiated CWA Tournaments on many occasions as referee and judge and his honesty and sincerity are still cherished in the book of the CWA,” it said.

His demise caused a great loss to the Chakhesang community in general and the wrestling fraternity in particular, the CWA added.

While expressing its condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family members, the CWA prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
