Kohima, November 1 (MExN): The Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) has made a plea to District Administration Phek to apprise contractors, NHIDCL and concerned departments (NH/R&B) to repair/clear road stretch between Sakhabama via Kikruma-Pfutsero, Chetheba via Pfutsero, Pfutsero via Sakraba- Phek and Pfutsero via Chizami- Lanye to facilitate smooth vehicular movement for the upcoming CWA 3rd Senior & 2nd U-15 Open Naga Traditional Wrestling Championship on November 7 at Pfutsero.
CWA lamented that the road condition “is too deplorable for the commuters to travel smoothly” on such stretch.
The event is not only for Chakhesang wrestlers but inviting interested wrestlers within and outside the state of Nagaland and anticipating a good number of wrestlers coming from other tribes vying for the coveted Championship, it stated.
In this, CWA president Vezohu Ruho and general secretary Kukhoto Venyo sought the interference of Phek Deputy Commissioner “for the commuters to travel smoothly for the day and beyond.”
