Kohima, July 24 (MExN): A get-together between District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Kohima took place on July 21 at Hotel Ura, Kohima.
The programme also witnessed the release of the tenure report of CWC Kohima for the year 2019-2022. It was released officially by Renchumi Imti, programme manager, SARA.
On behalf of the Director, Department of Social Welfare and Society Director, Child Protection Services (CPS) Nagaland, she appreciated DCPU and CWC Kohima.
She encouraged DCPU and CWC to keep up the good work and urged the staffs to continuously work for the best interest of the children.
She also congratulated the CWC Kohima for their successful tenure and for bringing out their tenure report which is a first of its kind and would serve as an inspiration to CWCs in other districts.
The programme was chaired by Rokoketou, member CWC Kohima while Vepotolü, Protection Officer (IC) pronounced invocation prayer.
Welcome address was delivered by Sekho Dawhuo, District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) Kohima while Povezo Puro, former DCPO, Kohima exhorted the gathering.
Special song was presented by Akumla Longchari, member CWC and the programme concluded with vote of thanks by Vithazonu Elizabeth, chairperson, CWC Kohima.
