Tuensang, June 14 (MExN): The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students' Conference) has expressed grave concern over the negligence observed among Heads of Departments (HoDs) and employees within government-established departments under Chang jurisdiction.
The jurisdiction includes Tuensang Town, Noksen SDO HQ, Ngoungchung EAC, Sangsangnyu EAC, Chingmei EAC, and sub-centres in the villages. The CWS maintained that many employees are irregular in performing their duties, causing significant hindrances to the general public.
In addition, it further highlighted the practice of employing proxy teachers within the towns and villages under its jurisdiction.
This practice has detrimental effects on the quality of education and the career prospects of students in these areas, it added.
In this connection, the CWS announced that it will conduct surprise inspections at all offices and schools and those employees found neglecting their duties will “face appropriate action.” The CWS acknowledged the efforts of the Department of School Education for introducing the SMILE APP, which aims to enhance educational administration and urged the department to expedite the implementation of the application within its jurisdiction.
