KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 28 (MExN): The Chakhesang Women Society Kohima (CWSK) has expressed strong condemnation over the physical assault of a nursing student at the District Hospital in Dimapur on February 24.
The organization raised concerns about the incident occurring in a healthcare facility, which is typically viewed as a safe environment for individuals seeking medical care. The CWSK stated that the assault reflects the vulnerability of women even in places meant to provide safety and support.
In a condemnation note, the CWSK described the incident as a severe violation of women's dignity, safety, and human rights. The society called for a swift and thorough investigation by the authorities, urging that the perpetrator be punished according to the law to prevent future occurrences.
