Winners of wrestling event with officials on January 12.
Kohima, January 12 (MExN): A two day Annual Sports Meet 2026 of the Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) Group-C commenced at Tsüüma village on January 12.
Meguo Ratsa, PA to Advisor for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Government of Nagaland graced the event as special guest.
On the first day, 43 wrestlers joined the Naga Wrestling event in senior and Under-15 category.
In senior category, Khrietuo Khwukha emerged the champion title while Kikrukhrielie Kehie, Terhüjavi Terhüja and Mesalhouvi Kuotsu stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.
Krovi Seyie bagged champion title in Under - 15 category while Keviser Kuotsu, Lhouvizo Kehie and Rokolhoulie Meyase stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.
Altogether, 18 wrestlers were selected to represent the CYO Group-C in the forthcoming Wrestling Meet of Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) to be held on February 5 at Chumoukedima town.
Volleyball for men and women will be held on January 13.
Earlier, the opening ceremony was led by Er. Zhasakholie Kehie while Keneinguto Terhüja, Senior Pastor, Baptist Church Tsüüma invoked God’s blessings.
Welcome address was delivered by Viketoukho Kehie, President CYO Group –C Vikerheno Khwükha presented a special number.
Teisonguto Khwükha administered oath to the wrestlers.
