The new church building of the Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo’s (DABA) Sümedem Fellowship was inaugurated on November 15 at Lengrijan. Formerly known as Lengrijan Fellowship, Sumedem is one of DABA’s 8 subdivisions.
A dedicatory service was conducted this evening to mark the inauguration. DABA pastor Rev. I Wati Jamir led the congregation in dedicating the new building to the glory of God and shepherding the faithful.
Convenor of the building committee, Obang Longchari said it was the Almighty’s providence that led to the completion of the splendid building without any untoward event. He recalled that in the 4 years it took to construct, not a single worker was injured by the grace of God.
The fund for the construction came from tithes and free-will donations. The total estimated cost stood at Rs. 12.6cr, he informed.
