Celebrating World Post Day, Post Office, Mokokchung Sub-Division organised DAK Community Development Programme (DCDP) at Chuchuyimpang Community Hall. 

The programme was a co-ordinated development programme of both State and central government. The first DCDP was held in Kigwema Sub-Division and the second one being held at Chuchuyimpang village.

DAK Community Development Program, which aims to raise awareness about Department of Posts's new services, consolidate central and state government information and services, expand customer enrollment for government schemes, involve local state government officials in planning and execution. 

The DAK Community Development Programme also aims to bring payment Bank Services, E- commerce and export facilitations services, Citizens Centric services and financial services of the Department of Post office, to the Citizen's doorsteps. 

Temsumoa Imsong, Chairman, Village Council, Chuchuyimpang; Maongsangla, Deputy District Agriculture Officer; Tajunginla, Coordinator PMMVY, District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Mokokchung; and Mangliyangba, District Welfare Officer, Mokokchung were the four resource persons from different departments enlightened the citizens on different schemes and services. 

The invocation was pronounced by Pastor, Chuchuyimpang Baptist Church. I Narola Jamir, Postmaster Mokokchung MDG and Simranjeet Gumber, Manager, Indian Post Payment Bank (IBPB) shared awareness on the financial service and products the Department of Posts provides, while welcome address was proposed by L Tiken , Superintendent of Post, Nagaland Division. Kevikhrielie Kirha, Sub-divisional Inspector of Post offices Mokokchung delivered the vote of thanks. 

This National Postal Week-2023 is scheduled from October 9 to 13 with following days of celebration:  October 9-World Post Day; October 10 - Vittiya Sashaktikaran Diwas; October 11 - Philately Day; October 12 - Mails & Parcels Day; October 13 - Antyodaya Diwas.
