
Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): Parliamentary Secretary for Geology & Mining, Irrigation & Flood Control and Border Affairs Y. Patton has informed today that in order to harness the resources for economic upliftment of the people, under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, State Government has decided to resume the petroleum exploration and development of natural gas in Changpang Oil Field and all other oil bearing areas in the state as enshrined in the Constitution of India under Article 371A. To this effect, resolution was adopted in the assembly during recently concluded Assembly Session, informed Patton while addressing the 30th State Geological Programming Board (SGPB) meeting held Thursday, August 5 in Dimapur.
