Phek Village, April 27 (MExN): Minister for Roads & Bridges, Parliamentary Affairs, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu on Saturday affirmed that DAN III was committed to perform and deliver to the Naga people on all fronts during its third consecutive inning.
Speaking at the felicitation program held at Phek village Panchayat Hall, Azo sought the support and cooperation of all sections of Nagas to achieve its goal. Towards this end, I urge public, government machineries and national workers to refrain from taxing contractors working to deliver quality workmanship, he urged. Not mincing words, the R&B minister also affirmed that he would not hesitate to blacklist any firm or contractor if quality work is not delivered.
Meanwhile, acknowledging the overwhelming support extended by Phek village during his third election, he encouraged the villagers to continue upholding unity and peace with all neighboring villages and Nagas in general. Let us be humble, god fearing and honest, he said adding, only through unity and peaceful coexistence any developmental work would be achieved. The R& B minister further sought the support of the village towards making Phek village a green village. ‘Let us all plant one tree, keep our surroundings clean and healthy’, he stated while challenging the villagers to work towards making Phek village an exemplary village before Naga people.
The minister accompanied by Executive Engineer, PWD and party workers also visited on-going work sites.
