Dimapur, Dec 2 (MExN): Maintaining that it is not “political propaganda”, the NSCN-K furnished “information of facts” that the NSCN-IM has infiltrated Nagaland Government with Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio functioning only as a “nominal” head.
According to an NSCN-K MIP release all financial institutions have taken over by the Tangkhul community alleging that even the selection of VDB members and village council members are being handled by the rival faction. The NSCN-K alleged that DUDA funds, PMRY, CMCF as well as all contract works “big or small”, industrial subsidies, ministers, secretaries, and directors “right from the Chief Minister down to the sub-divisional authorities” are being controlled by the NSCN-IM. “Now who will be answerable to these anomalies?” the release queried.
The organization maintained that the community is trying its best to create a situation where they can enjoy the facilities and privileges of both Nagaland and Manipur through the integration issue which “has been completely achieved” during Rio’s tenure for which he would be answerable. All state machineries including the Police are under the control of the NSCN-IM. “As such it is a fit case for the DAN government under Neiphiu Rio to formally hand over the state administration to I-K terrorists without delay so that people around the world can fully understand who the I-K men are and for what they had been fighting for” it stated.
The NSCN-K also asserted that all educational and employment facilities are being “availed of throughout India” by the stated community in the name of the Nagas. It stated that guest houses in Delhi, Kolkata, Shillong, and Guwahati “and elsewhere” are “always filled up” by them even while Nagas from Nagaland “do not get a chance to spend a night even in these houses”. Further under the cover of private schools in the four hill districts of Manipur, “thousands of Manipuris are appearing Matric examinations in Nagaland under NBSC”. “We do not know what will happen next. The so-called Manipur Nagas are talking about Meitei scripts and language but you see that even between themselves they are talking in Meitei language and Meitei language is their household language. Then why are they speaking against Meitei language?” it queried.
According to the NSCN-K MIP it is “well-known” to the Nagas that the NSCN-IM is creating fear psychosis through mass massacres, random killings, beatings and tortures, treats and intimidations, kidnappings, fines and extortions for the last two decades. “And that it has been rendered difficult for the Nagas to speak the truth and raise a voice of dissent. As a result the Nagas, while fighting for freedom for decades together have lost all their freedom” it added.
