Kiphire, April 6 (MExN): The District Agriculture Office, Kiphire organized training on kholar and maize for Self Help Groups (SHGs) at Tethuyu village in Kiphire.
R Santsu Kithan, District Agriculture Officer (DAO), Kiphire highlighted the vital role of women in agriculture farming under RKVY 2017-18 and urged the SHGs to make the best use of technical help imparted by experts for economic viability, a press release stated.
After the training, Neivah Hansing, Inspector, District Agriculture Office gave a talk on cultivation practices of kholar and maize.
In the interactive session between farmers and field officer, women farmers highlighted the problem faced in cultivation of different crops. To this, Field Officer suggested certain scientific method to be adopted to address the problem, the release said.
The training was chaired by Tsipong, AFA, while vote of thanks was delivered by Yangkhomong, AFA.
