Peren, June 16 (MExN): Around 295 students and staff members Higher Secondary School (GHSS) were sensitized on on HIV/AIDS during a awareness programme conducted by District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit (DACPU). According to a press note, P. Nandini Pillai, Principal, GHSS, launched the program with an exhortation while an introductory and the HIV prevalence of the district was highlighted by Ekiebe, DAPCU Accountant. Ngauzaelungbe, DIS also shared on the basics of HIV/AIDS and stressed the importance of abstinence from sex and drugs as a safeguard against the disease. Availing different facilities including HIV/AIDS facilities in the district under the NACP program was shared by Programme Assistant Pauheugau, it added.
