Peren, March 9 (MExN): 9th NAP Bn (IR), ‘The Daring Ninth’, launched Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on March 8 at its Bn Hq., Saijang. IGP (NAP) L. Bendang Lemtur (IPS) launched the programme on his visit to the unit during the Annual Inspection 2016. At the launch, the Unit Commandant C. James Kinghen stated, “We shall contribute in keeping India clean by cleaning our backyard first”.
Meanwhile, Lemtur's wife Atula Imti Ben visited the unit family welfare centre and tailoring centre. She also had an interaction with the jawan families. A press release informed that the family welfare has detergent making unit where “Da-Ni” detergent powder is manufactured locally and sold in the market.
