Kohima | March 28 : 40 centres without full time administrative officer: Rio Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, today at the ongoing budget session at the Nagaland Legislative Assembly Hall, Kohima stated that there are 164 administrative centres manned by administrative officers in the state. Replying this to MLA Tokheho, Rio also stated that are 40 administrative centres without full time administrative officer but being looked after by some other administrative officers in addition to their normal duties.

Replying to MLA C. Apok Jamir, minister for urban development Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu said that 25 buses have been already purchased under JNNURM during 2009-10 in the state capital and handed over to the Unified Metropolitan Transport Authority Kohima. The UMTAK is in the process of finalizing the logistic such as routes, fares, appointment of drivers for operating the buses. Services on routes- Jail Point- Science College and High School Junction- Thizama, have been launched recently, the minister said. On being asked the steps the department is taking to make use of the buses, the minister replied that as per guidelines of the Ministry, the department has already handed over the buses to UMTAK for operating the buses and it is now upto UMTAK to operate the buses.

Four lane road from Kma- Dim to be taken up in three stages
Minister for roads & bridges G. Kaito Aye today stated that the construction of four lane road of NH-29 from Kohima to Dimapur is to be taken up in three stages. Replying this to MLA Tokheho in the floor of the House, the minister said that tenders are expected to be invited for the stage from Km 119 to 173 of NH-29 shortly. The approximate cost for the said stage stands Rs. 1000.50 crores, the minister said.
On being asked whether the government is in position to provide required space from Purana Bazar to Chumukedima, Aye replied that there is no provision for four laning of the portion between Purana Bazar and Km 119 near Chumukedima. On being asked whether the government has paid compensations for the standing buildings and lands, the minister replied “No.” Replying to MLA C. Apok Jamir, minister for planning & coordination T.R. Zeliang said that 403 beneficiaries were selected under special development programme under planning department during 2010-11.
On criteria for selection of beneficiaries, the minister said that any development work which falls outside the purview of normal development programmes of different departments are taken up under Special Development programme. Individual schemes which are income generating and viable and help generate employment are also funded under this scheme, the minister said.
The Minister also furnished the detail list of beneficiaries. He however said, no special treatment weightage is given to any particular district or area/allocation in giving funds under this programme. As such utilizing the fund on district wise does not arise, he added. Replying to MLA C. Apok Jamir in another unstarred question on the finding of the Human Development Report, the planning minister said the state has came out with the State Human Resource Development Report 2004. He said the report does not contain any findings on shortages or excesses of professionals in the state. Minister for power Doshehe Y. Sema said that Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana (RGGVY) has been implemented for Meluri Sub division. Replying this to MLA C. Apok Jamir, the minister said that it has covered 32 villages, covering a total of 1099 BPL households.
