Kohima, July 1 (MExN): As part of co-curricular activities of the College, Department of Political Science, Don Bosco College, Kohima visited Viswema Village, St. Joseph College, Jakhama and Kisama on June 30.
The first schedule was visit to the Viswema Village where the students and staffs were received by the village council members at the Viswema Village Panchayat hall, stated a press release. The students were enlightened by the Secretary, village council and head GB about the hierarchy and functioning of the village council. They also elucidated on the functioning of different committees and verdicts given by the judicial committee of the village council.
Further, the students proceeded to St. Joseph College, Jakhama where they were enlightened by Fr. Sebastian, Principal of the College about a brief profile of the college and its achievements in the field of academics. After refreshment provided by the college, Asst. Prof. Saju Matthew, Head of the Department of Economics, St. Joseph College, Jakhama animated the students about the infrastructure of the college and its significance.
The trip drew to a close with a lunch prepared by the 5th Semester students of the department at Kisama, the Heritage Village of Nagaland.
