DBCK observes 3rd Gratitude Day

Kohima, March 8 (MExN): The 3rd Gratitude Day of Don Bosco College, Kohima was held on March 7 at the college premises with the Salesian co-operators Linus, David, Issac and Henry as special invitees. 


Linus, Salesian co-operator, Kohima unit, in his speech remarked that the outgoing students will start a new beginning with new opportunities. He urged the students not to wish for the best alone but to move forward towards excellence.


In his speech, the college Principal underlined the ‘journey of life’ and remarked that the ‘journey’ offers joy, sorrows, and unexpected surprises. Stressing on the college values, he further exhorted the outgoing students to have moral and spiritual values throughout their lives and encouraged them to dedicate themselves for humanity.


Speech on behalf of the staff was delivered by Kezienuo while R Kangluba, BA 6th semester delivered speech on behalf of the outgoing batch. A special candle ceremony was held where the 149 outgoing students lighted individual candles symbolizing their light that they would take with them as they pass out from the college. Best Bosconian Award for students, certificate of appreciation to teachers and special number by Silu and Thuchi also marked the day. The programme, organized by the 4th Semester students under the leadership of Dr Thoshimenla, ended with the singing of the college anthem.
