Dimapur, September 13 (MExN): Leprosy Case Detection Campaign (LCDC) has been underway since September 5 in Dimapur district under National Leprosy Eradication Programme. On September 13, Kesonyu Yhome, IAS, Deputy Commissioner visited LCDC Control Room to monitor the activities.
Leprosy Case Detection Campaign (LCDC) will continue till September 18 in Dimapur district. During the campaign, intensive house to house survey is being carried out to identify and detect any leprosy case. Detected cases are being treated free of cost under NLEP, informed a press release.
Yhome during his visit reiterated the importance of the case detection survey that is being carried out and also appealed to the public to co-operate towards eradication of leprosy from the district.
He also had a detailed discussion with Dr. K Vikato Kinimi, Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur, Dr. SK Dey, State Leprosy Consultant, Dr. Ahu Sekhose, State Leprosy Officer, Dr. Toshirenla, Dr. C Tetseo and other officers and staff.
