
CHÜMOUKEDIMA, SEPTEMBER 6 (MExN): In pursuance to the travel advisory issued by the Home Department dated September 4, DC Chümoukedima has issued the following advisory to ensure smooth movement of essential commodities and commuters travelling from Chümoukedima to Kohima and vice versa in the wake of the recent land slide/land erosion that has affected the NH-29.
Heavy vehicles ferrying essential commodities shall be given priority to ply from Chathe Bridge (Patkai Jn.) to New Chümoukedima, on the NH 29 four lane road on an hourly basis depending on the structural integrity of the road and weather conditions. The movement of vehicles shall be regulated by the Traffic Police, Chümoukedima. Only light vehicles will be allowed to ply from Chümoukedima Town (Old Check Gate) to New Chümoukedima via Old Chümoukedima village road.
