Mokokchung, October 17 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Mokokchung, Rajesh Soundararajan has informed that in pursuance to the Election Commission of India, the revised schedule for Summery Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls with regard to January 1, 2020 as the qualifying date and Electors Verification Programme (EVP), the Election Commission has extended the period of completion of Electors Verification programme and accordingly changed the schedule for Special Summery Revision 2020.
According to a DIPR reports the revised schedule is as follows: EVP and other pre-revision activities to be extended till 18th November 2019. Publication of integrated draft electoral roll by November 25, Period for filling claims and objections from November 25 to December 24, Disposal of claims and objection by 10th January 2020, preparation of supplements by January 17, 2020, Final Publication of Electoral Roll on January 20, 2020.
The BLOs shall do the verification work with assistance of BLO App. However, where BLO App is not working, BLOs will do house to house verification in necessary formats in hard copy.
Four formats for house to house verification i.e. Format-I (for existing electors), Format-II (for unenrolled eligible citizens), Format-III (for feedback on existing polling stations), Format-IV A (for prospective electors, who will be eligible in SSR, 2020) and Format-IV B (for prospective electors, who will be eligible in SSR, 2021) have been devised and the same are being sent to all concern. No separate handbill is required to be given/collected by BLOs as the necessary fields of handbill have been included in Format-I.
Henceforth, authentication with a document in respect of Head of the Family will be sufficient in respect of entries of all other family members for Electors Verification Programme (EVP).
