Dimapur, August 8 (MExN): Having noticed obstruction of entry and exit of health workers and frontline workers from their wards/colonies for performing duties by some individuals or group of individuals, the DC Dimapur, Rajesh Soundararajan in an order informed that support and cooperation from all is required from all ends in the fight against COVID-19.
He also cautioned any individual or organization issuing unwarranted directives and statement which infringe on individual rights and in violation of government orders will be liable to be punishable under Sec 3 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 and Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The DC further requested concerned village/colony authorities to take cognizance of the same and intervene if such situation arises.
