DIMAPUR, APRIL 19 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur has informed the general public of Dimapur district that some Aadhaar enrollment are being carried out in shops/outlets that are not authorized by the state government. The DC, Sushil Kumar Patel in a press release on Thursday reminded that the state government has authorised Aadhaar enrollment to be carried out only in designated Enrollment Centres which are DC Office Dimapur, ADC office of Niuland and Medziphema, SDO (c) offices of Dhansiripar, Kuhuboto and EAC office Chumukedima free of cost. Only correction and updating of Aadhaar details are to be carried out in those shops/outlets, the DC informed. In this connection, the DC has advised the general public not to approach those shops/outlets for Aadhaar enrollment while cautioning that the DC office cannot guarantee the successful generation of Aadhaar through them. He further directed the concerned individual running such shop/outlets to immediately stop providing Aadhaar enrollment services to the public failing which necessary punitive actions would be initiated.
