DIMAPUR, MAY 2 (MExN): A number of unauthorized Aadhar enrolment centers have come up in Dimapur without prior approval of the Government. The Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur in a press release expressed concern that these Aadhar enrolment centers were charging huge amounts of money from citizens and also capturing biometric data for those without proper documents, such as suspected IBIs and also residents of Assam. The DC therefore directed all such Aadhar enrolment centers to obtain prior permission from the State Registrar & Commissioner Nagaland. All citizens of Dimapur have also been requested to report to the authority if any such centers are operating in their locality as Aadhar enrolment is supposed to be free, except for correction.
