DC Hushili inaugurates Khehokhu village council office

Dimapur, April 11 (MExN): The office building of Khehokhu Village Council constructed under Grant-In-Aid, Rural Development was inaugurated this afternoon by Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, N. Hushili Sema (IAS) at a function attended by Zheheto Sema, BDO, RD Block Kuhuboto, Zakabo Rotokha, SDO (Civil), Kuhuboto, village leaders, and elders.

Addressing the gathering, Hushili asked the villagers to take pride in what they do for the benefit of the whole village. She observed that Khehokhu village is making good use of the fund provided by the government for the development of the village. Calling on the villagers to be trend setters, she said the development works done in the village would remain and would continue to benefit the villagers in the days to come.

She also stressed on the need to mould the youth and to give good education to the children for a healthy and progressive society. She discouraged the village authority from allowing proxy teachers in the school. The DC also called on the villagers to be cooperative with one another     

Chief of the village, Hokiye Yeputhomi delivered welcome address. Pukhavi Chophy, chairman, Khehokhu village council proposed the vote of thanks. Hokevi Aye, pastor, KBC said the invocation and Howoto Chophy, VDB secretary chaired the function.
