DC Kiphire advocates for active participation in district planning

Kiphire, July 15 (MExN): The Planning Board is a very important platform to discuss and address the development activities of the district, Deputy Commissioner Kiphire Temsuwati Longkumer stated today, while urging active participation from all members. 

The Vice Chairman of the Kiphire District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) also urged for cooperation in building a cohesive team to discharge their responsibilities and meet the aspirations of the people in the district during its monthly meeting on July 15. 

After reviewing the previous meeting, DC Kiphire reminded the members about the proper implementation of action against absentee members.

Chairman SDPDB Pungro and Advisor for Home Guards & Civil Defence, Fire & Emergency Services, and Relief & Rehabilitation, S Kiusumew Yimchunger, meanwhile,  urged the members to be more sincere and truthful in implementing various developmental works and to actively participate in activities for better cooperation and development.

The meeting also recommended and forwarded the following proposals for government approval: organisation of the Longmatra Mango Festival 2025, upgradation of SC-HWC to Primary Health Centre (PHC), registration of Good Will Society, organisation of Miss Kiphire, posting of Housing Development SDO Pungro, posting of AUDO (Assistant Urban Development Officer) Kiphire, posting of District Transport Officer Kiphire, establishment of Khongsa Kiusam Police Outpost, and approval of LADP Schemes 2025–2026.

Presentations were also delivered by Kiphire Police (DEF) and the DFO (Fisheries), Kiphire, during the meeting.
