Kohima, July 1 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan (IAS) has notified that a District Level Standing Committee (DLSC) has been constituted for the by-election to the 10 Northern Angami-1 AC scheduled for July 29.
The first meeting of the DLSC has been convened at DC's conference hall, Kohima on July 4 at 3:00 pm. The DC has requested all the members to attend the meeting positively.
Deputy Commissioner & DEO/ RO Kohima is the Chairman of the Committee with the following as members – ADC HQ & ARO, Kohima, Sr. SP, Kohima, Administrator KMC, SDO (C) Sadar, SDO (C) Judicial, SDO (C) Dev. Expenditure Monitoring Committee Nodal Officer, Model Code of Conduct Nodal Officer, President & General Secretary of recognised political parties, Kohima district, President & General Secretary of Angami Public Organization, President & General Secretary, Northern Angami Public Organization, President & General Secretary of Angami Students’ Union, President & General Secretary of Angamimiapfü Mechü Krotho (AMK) and Assistant Election Officer.
The Deputy Commissioner also informed that the Committee will meet time to time as and when required for issues related to free and fair and peaceful conduct of the ensuing by-election.
