DC Kohima directs petrol pumps

KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 20 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant has issued a directive to ensure that restrooms and drinking water facilities at petrol pumps, particularly those along the National Highways and within Kohima district, are properly maintained and accessible to the public round the clock. 

The directive comes following reports that restrooms and toilet facilities at several petrol pumps in the district were found to be poorly maintained or not up to standard, a DIPR report stated. 

Highlighting that it is mandatory for petrol pumps to provide accessible drinking water and restroom facilities, the DC has warned that defaulters will face penalties under the appropriate sections of the law.
