DC Kohima issues traffic advisory for Night Carnival

Kohima, November 30 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, B Henok Buchem, NCS, has issued traffic restrictions for the Night Carnival organised by the Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industries from December 1 to 10. Vehicular movement will be regulated daily from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Vehicles coming from Dimapur and other north-bound districts will be diverted through the Peducha-Tsiesema (10th Mile) road. LMVs and two-wheelers within Kohima town will be diverted from Y-Junction to the Post Office, Khuochiezie local ground and Razhu Point. Buses from BOC/PR Hill will be routed via Y-Junction, DC Office, Assam Rifles Gate and Ao Church before returning to BOC/PR Hill.

City buses will pick and drop passengers at the Local Ground south gate, while those from the High School area will turn around at Razhu Point. Departmental buses will return via Tsutuo Kharu Gate and the IG Stadium by-pass road.

In a separate advisory, DC Kohima informed that in view of the forthcoming Christmas festive season and the Hornbill Festival, all commercial establishments within Kohima town have been asked to set up Christmas decorations and adequate lighting outside their premises.
