Kohima, March 14 (MExN): In view of the proposed mass rally organised by the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) at Old MLA Hostel Junction, Kohima on March 16 from 10:00 AM onwards, the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima has issued a traffic advisory to ensure smooth movement and public safety during the rally.
The advisory issued by DC B Henok Buchem informed that no entry restrictions will be enforced between TCP and Razhu Point from 9:30 AM onwards until the completion of the rally.
Vehicles emerging from PR. Hill and proceeding towards High School will be diverted through Classic Point – Ladies Mile Road – NHAK – Census Point – High School, it said.
Similarly, southbound vehicles from High School will be required to take the route High School – Census Point – NHAK – TCP.
Vehicles coming from Kohima Village/Kitsubozou and moving southbound will follow the route Kohima Village/Kitsubozou – Razhu Point – Dak Lane – NHAK – TCP.
The administration has also suggested an alternative route for commuters:
P.R. Hill – Jail Colony – Merhülietsa – T Model Road – I.G. Stadium.
The general public has been advised to avoid non-essential movement in the affected areas during the period to facilitate smooth traffic management.
Authorities have requested cooperation from citizens to ensure orderly traffic flow and public safety during the rally.
