Kohima, July 30 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS has notified for general information that some areas located from Logwesunyu to Khuzama Village are needed to be acquired for implementation of 400KV Double Circuit (Twin) Transmission line Kohima-Mariani (KMTL).
The project is being implemented under System Strengthening Scheme-VI of North Eastern (NERSS-VI), a DIPR report informed.
In this connection, the DC informed that any person or party having any claims or objections over the aforesaid stretch of land or village areas may submit the same to the DC office within a period of 30-day with effect from the date of publication of the notification, dated July 24.
The State Government as Competent Authority has duly authorised the DC to undertake the exercise as per the power conferred by Section 7 (1) & (2) of the Nagaland Land Requisition and Acquisition Act 1965, the report added.
