Mokokchung, August 29 (MExN): In pursuance to the Government notification dated Kohima the August 11, 2023, Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Poji has constituted a Committee on “Scheme for grant of award to the Good Samaritan.”
The committee members include Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung as the Chairman; Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, member; Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung, member and Regional Transport Officer, Mokokchung as the member secretary.
According to a DIPR report, on receipt of communication from the police stations/hospitals, the committee will review and approve the proposal/list of Good Samaritan on monthly basis, and the eligible/selected list shall be forwarded to the Transport Commissioner, Motor Vehicles department, Kohima for necessary online payment of cash award of Rs 5,000 per Good Samaritan.
