Mokokchung, April 8 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung today informed that due to the construction of earthwork on a highly elevated hill, leading to rockslides, commuting along the ongoing project to widen the existing single-lane road to an intermediate lane road from Mokokchung to Chare via Dikhu, is unsafe. Additionally, the existing bridge over Dikhu River is very weak, and constant running of vehicles (especially buses) over it may lead to a hazardous situation in the future, stated DC Mokokchung Thsuvisie Phоji in an order. Accordingly, travellers from Mokokchung to Tuensang are advised to take the following routes: 1. Existing NH-02 (Mokokchung to Chare via Tsutsung - Moalenden-Meyilong). 2. Mokokchung-Chuchuyimpang-Logmisa-Alisopur-Tongar-NH-2, Tuensang road. The ongoing project work is being executed by the UCN Construction Co. Pvt Ltd on EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Commissioning) mode.
