Mon, April 14 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner Mon, Ajit Kumar Verman has issued a notification stating that many Heads of Offices/Institutions under Mon district are leaving their stations without prior permission/leave sanctioning from the competent authority.
The DC stated that such practice “is not only hampering the smooth functioning of government offices/departments in the district but also causing inconvenience to the public in general while availing various government services.” “In this regard, various complaints have also been received about the non-functioning of certain government offices due to the absence of officers and staff,” he stated.
In view of the concern and the interest of public service, the DC added, “all the officers have been directed to seek prior approval before leaving the station/proceeding on any kind of leave and a written intimation in this regard shall be mandatorily submitted in advance, without fail.”
“Any case of non-compliance shall be viewed seriously and necessary disciplinary action shall be initiated under the relevant provisions of Law,” the DC Mon cautioned.
