Peren, June 21 (MExN): As decided during the DPDB meeting held on June 14, and also as requested by the Power Department, the Deputy Commissioner, Peren Vineet Kumar, IAS has directed the Sub-Divisional, Power Department and Circle Administrative Officials to convene a consultative meeting with Village Council Members (VCM) within their respective jurisdiction along with Officials of Power Department to strategise man power mobilization for jungle clearing along all the transmission and distribution lines in the district. The DC Peren also stated that the month of May to October has been declare as vegetation clearance month by the Department of Power, Nagaland, and encouraged the Power Department Official to mobilize and arrange proper strategy for the clearance of jungle in time and properly clear the overhead power lines for safety.
