DC Phek imposes travel restriction on Kohima-Jessami road stretch

Phek, August 19 (MExN): Multiple landslides and rock falls have been reported from the National Highway 29 (NH-29) between existing KM 30,220 (near Kidima Road Chakhabama) and existing KM 53,474 (near Kikruma village).  
These hazardous conditions pose a risk to the lives of travelers and the general public and accordingly, Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Kumar Ramnikant in a travel advisory has ordered immediate temporary restriction of all light and heavy vehicles on the stretch of the said NH-29, falling under Kohima-Jessami road (Package-II).
Travelers have been advised to take an alternative route via Zuketsu-Kidima until further notice from the Deputy Commissioner's office, Phek.
