Phek, August 22 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Kumar Ramnikant today informed that the vehicular restriction imposed earlier on KM 30.474 (near Kidima Road Chakhabama) to existing road KM 53.220 (near Kikruma Village) along the on National Highway-29, Kohima-Jessami stretch, has been lifted.
The route is now reopened for all commuters with immediate effect, the DC informed in a notification on August 21.
As per the State DIPR, the general public, however, are advised to exercise caution while using this stretch of road, as it is still under construction, especially considering the ongoing monsoon season. In the event of incidents such as landslides, rockfalls, etc, in and around the area, the general public has been requested to contact the site in-charge Tonny @ 9863299229 for immediate assistance.
