Phek, March 15 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner Phek, CM Tsanglao, IAS, has issued ordered that in view of maintaining law & order/ peace & public tranquility and for ensuring free and fair Lok Sabha election, all gun licenses along with gun, under Phek district shall be deposited as per the following arrangement: Phek Sadar Area - To be impounded, observing all legal procedures and deposit the licensed gun in the malkhana of Police Station, Phek; Pfutsero Sadar Area - To be deposited in the malkhana of Police Station, Pfutsero; Chizami Sub-Division - To be deposited in the malkhana of Police Station, Chizami; Chozuba Sub-Division - To be deposited in the malkhana of Police Station, Chozuba; Meluri Sub-Division - To be deposited in the malkhana of Police Station, Meluri.
All the fire Arms are to be deposited on or before March 25 with proper receipt. Those persons/individuals found in possession of any licensed weapons after promulgation of this order shall be subjected to prosecution as per the relevant provision of Law and their licensed weapons shall be confiscated. This order shall come into force with immediate effect and shall remain valid till the election is over.
