Wokha, August 7 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, Wezope Kenye was inducted as the President of Wokha district Bharat Scouts & Guides (BS&G) on August 6 at DC’s conference hall here. Along with him, Dr. Abeni Lotha, Principal MTC was inducted as Vice President BS&G, Sentimenla, Deputy DEO as District Chief Commissioner, and Thunglamo Odyuo as Media Secretary.
The DC told the scouts and guides to be law abiding good citizens. For that, he said, one should be physically fit, mentally aware and morally strong, informed a press release from Media Secretary, BS&G Wokha. Wezope further urged the young scouts and guides to live a good life and prepare to face the world and excel putting their effort.
Others who attended the programme were Thavaseelen (IAS), ADC Wokha, Asale, EAC Wokha, Dr. Mhabemo Kithan, Rushamo Tsopoe, proprietor, Fernbrook School, BS&G district officials, scout masters, guide captains and scout & guides.
The press release highlighted that following achievements have been made under the aegis of Wokha District Bharat Scout & Guide Association – Governor’s Award 2016 received by eight scouts and two guides, five scouts and five guides represented district to participate in the first ever ‘state level republic day camp’ on January 26, 2016, ten scouts and ten guides represented Nagaland State in the NE Regional level nature study cum trekking programme at SHQ Kohima during the month of February 2016.
