KIPHIRE, FEBRUARY 27 (MExN): The District Congress Committee (DCC) Kiphire convened an emergency executive meeting at Kiphire Headquarters on February 25, which included the participation of PCC Members of 59 & 60 A/C, ACCCs, DYC, District Mahila Congress Committee, NSUI, Media Cell, Area Units, and other party functionaries.

A press release from the DCC Kiphire Media Cell stated that the meeting primarily addressed ongoing issues faced by the local committee and other party-related matters. The members present expressed unanimous support for the leadership of Likyuse Sangtam, President of DCC Kiphire.

The meeting also reaffirmed the demand for the revocation of all suspensions that had been imposed on DCC Kiphire and its subordinate members by the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC). The party urged the All India Congress Committee (AICC) to take immediate action, as had been promised on January 18, 2025, at the NPCC office in Kohima.

It asserted that any new appointments for DCC Kiphire would be viewed as an act of betrayal against both the party and its constitution, unless the suspension issue is resolved. The members also indicated that they would take necessary actions to ensure justice is served in this matter.
