DCC Mon Coordination meeting conducted

Mon, May 2 (MExN): The District Congress Committee Mon held its coordination meeting on April 28 at Congress Bhavan Mon.

The meeting saw progress report presentation from all nine constituencies, followed by discussion and adoption of resolution. The meeting was attended by all DCC office bearers, ACCC, NPCC Members and frontal organizations. Speaking on the occasion, Lanpha, ex-MLA, and Tingyeih, Vice President NPCC, encouraged the party workers to remain firm in the party ideology and continue to work to strengthen the party, a press release stated.

The two also accused the DAN government in the state and BJP government at the Centre of “making false promises” and “misleading the people of the state and the country”.

Referring to the BJP in the centre and NPF In the state, Lanpha said they are like minded parties. The NPF had promised to bring permanent settlement to the vexed Indo-Naga problem, which the Naga people are yet to see. On the other hand, the BJP who promised to bring back black money stashed abroad, instead, demonetized the currency, causing intolerable hardship to the innocent citizens, he maintained.

Hitting out at the state government, the duo charged the DAN of running “open corruption government” in every aspect whether it be in government service, education, development, employment etc.

They cited the examples of teachers being doused with water when demanding for their pending salary, the massive backdoor appointments, the PDS rice scam, deplorable road conditions all over the state.

Further accusing the state government of siding with the Centre on decisions going against Christian beliefs, the duo opined that Nagaland being a Christian state “should be the first to voice out” concerns and objections.

The DCC (I) Mon also welcomed Naowang Konyak, NPF party worker from 41 A/C Tizit, to its party fold.
