Dimapur, June 27 (MExN): Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has opened its new office located at Naga Shopping Arcade, Dimapur. The office was inaugurated by Hukavi Zhimo, Legal Advisor DCCI on June 26.
The chief guest in his address said, “Low quality or substandard goods, are bound to destroy the foundation of commerce and Dimapur being the hub a huge responsibility rests upon DCCI to set examples to the rest of the business community by ensuring quality, fair price business practices and prosperity in all the areas of business.”
Hukavi further called it a “disgrace” that Dimapur has been declared as the dirtiest city in all of India, according to a press release from DCCI. He urged DCCI to “focus their energy towards the sanitation and cleanliness of Dimapur town so as to facilitate a clean and healthy environment within the jurisdiction of their organisation.” Hukavi also reminded that the public has high expectation from DCCI and therefore it should initiate steps to ensure that quality is maintained in all the businesses under its jurisdiction.
DCCI president, Akashe K Zhimomi in his welcome note said Dimapur has become a taxation industry while the DCCI continues to negotiate for the “menace”. He further stated DCCI is purely for the business community and without the presence and suggestions of the community it will not progress. Therefore, he appealed to the community to continue with their support and valuable suggestions.
At the inauguration programme, Rev. Ikheto Assumi of WSBAK said the dedication prayer and Sanjay Sethi, DCCI general secretary pronounced the vote of thanks.
