Dimapur, February 15 (MExN): In a major boost to ease the traffic congestion in Dimapur, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic signed a MoU with 90.8 Hills FM on February 15 where the latter will broadcast updates on traffic to the public.

“I believe that this will create a common social responsibility,” DCP Traffic, I Meren Chenth, NPS stated while interacting with the FM team. Chenth maintained that to ease and remove the traffic woes and to serve the public is their sole motive, stated a press release received here. 

He expressed optimism that the collaboration will go a long way in easing the traffic related problems where news updates will be given in real time and also contribute in educating the masses about traffic awareness.

Kr Ngimchule Nampeung, (NPS), ACP Traffic Dimapur and Temsunochet Changkija NPS, ADCP (Traffic/Protocol) were also present during the signing of the memorandum. 

The 90.8 Hills FM team was represented by Ketho Sakhrie (Program Manager), Lipoksunep Jamir (Radio Jockey), Sentila Longkumer (Content Writer & Liaison Officer), and Vikheto Hesso (Internal Operations Manager).  

It can be mentioned that 90.8 Hills FM is the “first community radio station in Dimapur.” It can be accessed by tuning in to 90.8 FM frequency. The radio begins its transmission from 7:00 am till 7:00 pm and is also present on all social media platforms.
