Mon, November 24 (MExN): District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Mon organised ‘sensitization programme of Village Level Child Welfare and Protection Committee Member Secretaries’ at Mon Town Council Hall on November 24.
The objective of the programme was to create awareness with the rural people so that the rural children could become the beneficiaries of the various schemes available for the development and child protection mechanism that every child was not denied the rights entitled to them. It also aims to emphasis the role of such committees in creating awareness about child development and child safety at village level, stated a DIPR report.
The participants were Anganwadi workers and helpers who were designated as village level child welfare and protection committee member secretaries.
The programme was chaired by Ngepkhao, Coordinator Child Helpline. Welcome address was delivered by Sevehu Chuzho, DCPO Mon and Wanloi Konyak, LCPO Mon as resource person. It concluded with vote of thanks by Alem Konyak PO(IC) DCPU Mon followed by refreshment.
