DIMAPUR, JUNE 21 (MExN): Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers' Union (DDADU) president issued a clarification on Saturday following allegations made by the Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO) regarding its June 19 press conference.
In a statement, DDADU president Tito Yepthomi stated that his remarks were made with utmost care and based solely on information received from office bearers. He denied making any remarks intended to harm those concerned in the ongoing investigation or to further traumatise the victim.
“I expressed my solidarity with the victim’s family from the outset,” he said, adding that the case remains under investigation and justice will take its course. Yepthomi also acknowledged WCYO’s concern and reaffirmed his commitment to work for the community’s welfare.
