Dimapur, March 23 (MExN): The Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DCCF) has resolved to support the Dimapur District Grievances and Welfare Committee, under the aegis of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), in the fight against illegal taxation within Dimapur District.
The resolution was adopted at the Forum’s executive meeting held at its office on March 23. Affiliated tribes and communities were represented at the meeting.
The meeting also discussed the absence of a roof or shelter at Dimapur railway station Platforms No. 2 & 3 and the obstruction at the foot overbridge towards the two platforms. Accordingly, it resolved to approach the concerned authorities regarding the issue.
At the meeting, the DDCF Advisor, Joseph Lemtur, briefed the house on the progress of the forum and encouraged the members and the office to work hand in hand with NCD for the progress and development of the district.
He also highlighted the existing plan for the construction of a road from Amar Mill (Nagaland Gate) to Burma Camp to ease the traffic congestion, as per a DDCF release.
The meeting was chaired by DCCF Vice President Vikato Achumi, while the welcome address was delivered by its President, Y Kikon.
