
DIMAPUR, April 25 (MExN): A legal awareness seminar was organised by the Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA) at Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Walford Colony, Dimapur on April 24 where the students were familiarized with varied facets of legal rights.
During the seminar, Secretary DDLSA and Chief Judicial Magistrate Dimapur Ajongba Imchen stressed on how legal aid could be availed by common people. He also spoke on the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act and also highlighted the main purpose of organizing the seminar.
It also featured presentation by different resource persons on various topics including Right to Information (RTI) by Vimeo, Panel Lawyer DDLSA; Child Abuse by Sentimenla, Panel Lawyer DDLSA; Environment Protection by Dziivinuo Chadi, Panel Lawyer DDLSA; Cyber Crime/Anti-Ragging by Zuchumpeni, Panel Lawyer DDLSA; and Consumer Act by Rokovitsu Khate, Panel Lawyer DDLSA.
According to a DDLSA press note, the seminar was chaired by ZachariaTetseo, Panel Lawyer DDLSA, chaired the seminar, while welcome address was delivered by MK Money, Principal Bethesda Higher Secondary School.
