Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): The Dimapur District Pick Up Van Owner’s and Driver’s Union (DDPODU) strongly condemned the abduction of one of its member, driver Manoj Yadav. A press note issued by DDPODU president, Tongpang stated that the victim was abducted from Supermarket, Night Bus Service Station at around 4:00 pm on October 5. DDPODU stated that the abductor demanded Rs. 70,000 for his release and he was also beaten badly and threatened to kill if not paid the ransom. He also had to be hospitalized in District Civil Hospital Dimapur. DDPODU in the note therefore requested the authority to take up the case seriously and take appropriate actions on the miscreants.
