Dead body of drowning victim recovered at Sendenyu

The dead body of a person who drowned at Nsonji Lake in Sendenyu village under Tseminyu district yesterday was recovered by search and rescue operation team today.  The deceased has been identified as Shwesinlo Kemp, male, around 26-27 years of age. 

According to the District Disaster Management Authority, the body was recovered around 5:00 am in the evening. Earlier, the search team comprised of the District administration and disaster management team. 

In connection to another drowning incident that occurred last Thursday, from Dzüvüru River, AG colony, where a 25-year old male was reportedly swept off by the water current, authorities informed that despite joint search operation which began on Saturday, the body is yet to be recovered. It informed that, on Sunday, NDRF joined the search operation.
