Newmai News Network Imphal | April 9 The All Tribal Student Union Manipur (ATSUM) today alleged that the “examination for the recruitment of 28 Range Forest Officers conducted by the Forest and Environment Department, Government of Manipur vide its notification dated 20th May 2017 is kept in the dark shadow without declaring the results till today”. According to the apex tribal student’s body, the exam was the first such departmental recruitment conducted by the incumbent state government after the formation of the BJP led Government in 2017. “The written test was held on June 4, 2017. Subsequently, walking test for 145 written selected candidates were held on June 20, 2017 and viva-voice for the same was held on June 23 and 24, 2017 at Forest Head Office, Sajenthong in Imphal,” stated ATSUM. According to ATSUM, the “High Court of Manipur in its order dated 28th February 28, 2018 had directed” the concerned department to declare the result as expeditiously as possible. However, the department failed to declare the results till today with the best reason known to them, the tribal student’s body alleged. “As such, the All Tribal Student’s Union Manipur (ATSUM) draws the utmost attention of Forest and Environment minister to declare the said exam result at the earliest considering the interest of the candidates in particular and the public in general”, it stated.
