Deep thoughts of the day on the present Nagaland scenario

Eno Imti John

Political:

1.    Let us turn to our God, the giver of freedom and everything. Let us first patch up the differences in our homeland.
2.    If the Nagas are independent people from the beginning and reaffirm this with 99% plebiscite, then why are we fighting for independence or autonomous status?

3.    If the Nagas are fighting against “Divide and Rule” policy of India then Naga leaders should not practice it.

4.    In case India agreed to the ‘self-rule’ demand of the Nagas, the next day Nagas will ask India for its withdrawal.

5.    Killing of one another among Nagas is ‘killing oneself’.

6.    Killers today will never be leaders tomorrow.

7.    Today’s youth problem is the by-product of unscrupulous leaders/elders.

8.    Healing will bring solution! But at the present instance, we Nagas are searching for solution without healing.

9.    Whether we like it or not, the Naga political leaders are more or less indirect criminals as well as indirect extortionists and terrorists.

10.    Today’s problem is the outcome of ‘make believe’ situations.

11.    The longer the ceasefire agreements are played, the worse the Nagas future!

12.    What factors or who is responsible for so many ‘Ceasefire agreements’ in our Naga soil?

13.    Getting elected in the elections with the help of underground elements cannot be the solution for the Naga political leaders.

14.    The Naga rebels practically participate in the Indian elections.

15.    Losses and damages done by the Indian army upon the Nagas are less than the losses and damages done by the so called Naga freedom fighters.

16.    If we aren’t careful and holistic, what we do today for a solution may be tomorrow’s incurable disease.

Peace:

17.    Peace is made into pieces by the Church and political leaders.

18.    Peace is made into virus by the underground factions.

19.    Peace can mean tranquility, the state of being undisturbed, well-being of daily existence, harmony of oneself, one’s sister, one’s brother, one’s world and one’s god. To be at peace is to have everything going well

20.    Mere lip service will bring no peace. Our leaders would only repair on the surface, leaving the inside as it is to further riot and say ‘peace! peace!’ Hypocrisy and make believe won’t do. Enough of white washing. Putting the bandages without thoroughly cleansing the wounds will only worsen the situation. The walls between the leaders must first be broken down.

21.    False peace does not prevent destruction. In fact it is the harbinger of all destruction.

22.    True peace turns the wonder of science to the service of men.

23.    Peace demands sweat and sacrifice.

Economy:

24.    Nagas should not depend only on import but should also do export.

25.    God gave work to Adam and Eve but not job. Work creates job, job earns.

Education;
26.    A person will be successful in life if he/she has the following qualities: commitment, dedication, conviction, courtesy, courage and devotion.

27.    We are under the influence of information and technology but starving for wisdom and knowledge.

28.    Knowledge generates in mind. But again knowledge

29.    Education is as essential as defense.

30.    The Naga brains are known worldwide. With such glory to our name, the Naga youth has even greater responsibility to make our land richer and brighter.

31.    Nagaland can help to form a more stable, righteous and successful government with well educated people which will bring true peace and prosperity to our land like never before.

Religion:

32.    A spiritual demonstration of Godly living is the need of the hour.

33.    He who fears God fears no men. He who kneels before God will stand in any circumstances.

34.    The world is not waiting for a denomination or a dynamic preacher of the Holy book, but for practical living with the power of the Holy book.

35.    The more church building come up, the more indirect corruption.

36.    The more prayer centers, the more fanaticism of religion.

37.    When Jesus comes again, He will not come to AG Church, NCRC Church, Baptist Church or Pentecostal Church etc. but he will come to you and me.

38.    A new life means being a good and born again Christian. Therefore, being a good Christian is the beginning of a new life.
